How to find us
Early nineteenth century visitors would travel to the First & Last Inn before embarking on the final stage of their journey to Penn-an-Wlas (Land’s End in Cornish) on horseback or foot along the narrow lanes.
Fortunately, nowadays there are many more modes of transport to reach the westernmost point of Cornwall.
By car
Drive along the M4 motorway from London or the M6 motorway from Manchester, joining the M5 motorway towards Exeter then the A30 into Cornwall.
Alternatively, if you’re travelling from or via North Devon, you can opt to join the A39 from junction 27 on the M5 and travel down the north coast to join the A30 at Indian Queens.
If you’re travelling from or via South Devon, take the A38 through Plymouth and Liskeard and join the A30 at Carminnow Cross.
Once on the A30, which is mostly dual carriageway, travel westbound towards Redruth, Camborne and Hayle until you reach Penzance. In Penzance, look for signs marked Land’s End and follow the A30 for 9 miles until you reach the village of Sennen. In Sennen, travel through the village, past the road to Sennen Cove and beyond the First & Last Inn. You’ll find Land’s End at the very end of the A30 road.
By train
High-speed train services run frequently from London Paddington station, including the Night Riviera Sleeper Service to Penzance.
The main station in Penzance is 9 miles from Land’s End so to complete your journey, you’ll need to arrange separate transport via taxi, bus or hire car.
By plane
Newquay Cornwall Airport is a regional airport linking Cornwall to major cities around the UK, as well as internationally. Full timetables for services can be found at www.newquaycornwallairport.com
There are regular air links to Newquay Airport from Birmingham (1 hr 10 mins), London Gatwick (1 hr), Manchester (1 hr 15 mins) and the Isles of Scilly (30 mins). During the summer there are also air links to Belfast, Edinburgh, Liverpool, London Southend, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Dusseldorf.
Newquay Airport is 51miles from Land’s End, so you will need to arrange for separate transport to complete your journey – taxi, bus or hire car.
Car hire is available at Newquay Cornwall Airport through Europcar, Hertz and Cornwall Classic Car Hire who’ll meet you at the terminal.
By bus
The First Group co-ordinate bus services from the main station in Penzance to Land’s End. Designated bus routes are 1/1a and 1b.
Please note that local bus services are irregular throughout the season so plan your bus travel in advance of your visit.
By taxi
There’s a taxi rank at the main train station in Penzance serviced by a number of local companies who’ll be happy to transport you to Land’s End.

Car parking
This money goes towards preserving our designated ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ and protecting its fragile ecosystem. In this way, we hope to keep Land’s End open and conserved for the public to enjoy as it has been since 1066.
Our maintenance teams work hand-in-hand with organisations such as the Cornwall Wildlife Trust, RSPB and South West Coast Path to conserve the natural beauty of the Land’s End headland, and our green team strive to improve energy efficiency onsite and reduce our carbon footprint.
Local’s Pass
We are currently reviewing our Locals Pass scheme, and are excited to announce that we will be launching our new and improved offering in early 2022. For the remainder of 2021 we will not be accepting any new locals pass applications.
Guests who currently have a locals pass can continue to use this until the end of 2021 even if it has passed its expiry date.
For Cornish residents who do not currently have a locals pass we will be accepting a valid photo-card driving license which has both a picture and proof of a Cornish address.
Our locals pass currently entitles the holder to free parking at Land’s End as well as 50% off any full price family experience tickets (Aardman Presents: A Grand Experience, Jolly Roger 4D, Arthur’s Quest and Greeb Farm).
